Louisville Concert Band and Chamber Winds Louisville musicians share a passion for showcasing the rich dimensions of wind repertoire. Our concerts feature a mix of chamber music, ensemble solos, and full-cast concert band pieces. From harmoniemusik to contemporary works, our diverse repertoire includes pieces by influential wind band composers like Mennin, Creston, Persichetti, Grainger, Sousa, Fillmore, and more. The integration of full ensemble with chamber pieces adds variety and captivates our audience. Director Frederick Speck leads a talented ensemble, including educators, professional musicians, and performers from diverse fields, all united by a love for ensemble performance. Beyond regular concerts, we’ve showcased our talents at prestigious events like the 2011 Kentucky Music Educators Association Conference and the 2013 Midwest Clinic: An International Band and Orchestra Conference.
